As part of our Black History Month celebrations this year, we invited Wolverhampton Wanderers football star, Kortney Hause, in to school to join us for lunch on Wednesday 17th October.  The staff and children alike had a fantastic experience, writing and asking him questions about his career and aspirations. Our Year 6 children even had the once in a lifetime opportunity to challenge Kortney to a game of football.  We would like to thank Kortney for taking the time to come and visit us at Berrybrook and we hope to see him again in the future.

Cubs Trip 2018

We are pleased to announce that Mr Smith, Berrybrook’s Deputy Headteacher, has been selected to go on the Cuboree 2020, an international trip to Gibraltar for 30 Cubs from the West Mercia County, as a leader to look after the children and facilitate activities. Mr Smith has been volunteering as a Cub Scout leader for over 17 years and he and his team plan and run weekly meetings, organise camps and arrange days out. During the trip, the Cuboree leadership team will give the children a once in a lifetime opportunity to explore and experience life in a British Overseas Territory: meeting a local Sea Scouts group, dolphin watching, meeting the apes and climbing Gibraltar Rock. Over the next 12 months, PHMAT will be showing its support by running a number of fundraising events, please look out for further details.

Any pupils who are currently in Beavers or Cubs (who will still be a Cub in April 2020) interested in attending the trip should speak to their colony/pack leaders about applying when children applications are available.
